How walls change - first McGee's
then Banksy's
Both showing how walls can evolve, the first totally legally which makes it pretty pointless, an ever revolving wall for people to state their 'piece' as deemed acceptable. The second a pointed remark done illegally - lovely.
I don't even know what that Banksy piece was. sorry for not staying informed. can you please always link to original pieces like they do on Vandalog? THANKS! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSure there was a better word than "styles" to be used though... "ideas" maybe?
Always happy to see the evolution of street pieces. I like it when kids draw big triangular spliffs coming out of characters mouths, and put nike logos on their shoes and clothes. The best I saw done to one of my pieces had both of those, plus a big pair of tits AND a hairy cock!
much more interesting than having them all plexiglassed or protected by public demand. yawn.
If anyone is in Düsseldorf on Saturday, come to the opening of my exhibition at Nina Sagt gallery. I promise there won't be any street art or screen prints!
oh shit, sorry, I lied! There will be one print which has one layer of screen printing...
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the Bowery in NY where the top mural is situated, I just saw this hilarious tweet from RemiRough... "I don't hang at CBGB's I play there.."
ReplyDeleteShame nobody told the cunt it closed down more than 4 years ago.
kids with cans are idiots.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been better if they added "for you" underneath "No future"
Banksys hand writing is like that of a 5 year old retard
ReplyDeletethat's so it appeals to his market audience's level of mental development.
ReplyDeleteer, it's supposed to look like it's painted by the 5 year old girl who was originally painted beneath it (who may well have been a retard)
ReplyDeleteI don't hang at CBGB's because it's too, like, EEWWWWW! Have you SEEN the toilets!?!? my GOD! all that hideous graffiti... it offends my lineal vector stylings...
