  1. The sad thing is that some deluded mugs probably will actually frame the box though, thinking that it's somehow an important work of art instead of just another bit of crappy packaging that the world didn't need.

  3. Dammit. I've got shirts very similar to these coming out online in like a week. As always, I'd love a plug of "damn this shitty shirt" when they do go online. I figure I'm at least half as evil as D*face after all.

  6. bit of a cheap box that, if you take a closer look. like when you print a zine at a copy shop and they stick your copies in the same flimsy box as the paper comes from the supplier in. looks like he's been saving the boxes the flyers for the gallery come in, and is recycling them. which I don't have any issue with, I'm all for using things that are destined for the trash, one more time. except this guy is supposed to be the big man of UK street art, with huge solo shows at places like Jonathan Levine in New York baby yeah! so why is he flogging t-shirts in tacky boxes for a measly £25 quid, like it's 2003?

    has the bubble burst?

meanwhile, I'm selling SOCKS in quality TWO COLOUR boxes, that are NOT printed by me, but by someone PAID to do the monkey-work!!!

  11. Did anyone here know that D FACES 'TRADEMARK' LOGO is in fact an almost identical RIP-OFF from an old VAUGHN BODE UNMANNED FLYING BATTLE DRONE!!!

From the JUNKWAFFEL COMICS series CIRCA 1970 I think, I see if I can dig my coPY out at some point in the next couple weeks and I'll send the pic in to Dr Funky who will hopefully get a nice fat post out of it!!!

While we're on topic, his 'crew' REBELS ALLIANCE, is actually ripped of from an old legendary London Graffiti crew from the 1980s called.....drum roll..... REBEL ALLIANCE aka RA with safe writers like CAB R.A who smashed many lines especially the Northern Line circa 88-89. He's obvioulsy aware of this hence the addition of the S to Rebel.
I'm fully aware that Rebel Alliance comes from Star Wars originally but it's only biting if you take it from a writer....he's biting and certainly not a rebel or a writer.

Even his name D-Face was used by a 1980s London graffiti writer and it was shit then and in the same league as the UNIMAGINATIVE GENERIC TOY tags everyone wrote when they were learning like WIZ and TRON

This chump is well past his sell by date. Every time I see that logo I think Vaughn Bode, and while lotsa writers use Bode Lizards and chicks as heralds, and have done since early 70s, but for a graphic designer to build a career as a street artist around one of his characters and label it as his own is definitely not on.
I will get digging and try and find it, but you may have a bit of a wait I got lotsa old comics and shit to go through.

  12. Graphic designers have been at the centre of the street art explosion for years. D-face, Obey, etc...its like the Saatchi element of the YBA's...they been creating art that you want to buy through the the medium of advertising for years and you all fell for it suckers. Oh please, where can I buy by dissent from.?
You can't buy street art. It's meant to be on the streets.Everything else is merchandise.
Its shit, it has been for years. Move on.
