EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP Takes Top Award at 2011 Cinema Eye

No I've not heard of this award, obviously makes me a dullard with no interest in the art form - so nothing fucking new there.

Let's hope this is the last award for Exit as my tonsils are close to fully constricting my throat and choking the life out of me in protest at having my life force bare witness to this shite humour anymore, lord save us from another witty retort that means FUCK ALL.

  1. This film is like the never ending story. It must have broken all world records for long drawn out hype. I honestly can't understand why people are still going on about it, I thought it was some of the most boring shit I've ever seen, and I'm not even joking.

  3. Mr Boring?

I wasn't being intentionally nasty, just giving my opinion. Even if it was a free documentary on TV it would have been dull, but asking people to pay money to see it was just taking the piss. All of you Banksy fans must be very easily satisfied and don't expect much from life.

  4. I thought it was hilarious
I couldn't believe the madness of that Terry character. How someone who is clearly insane can run a business and have a family I'll never know. And the balls of the man, to throw such a huge exhibition without any background as an artist!
    It was fantastic
It made street art look dumb. and the fans looked dumber
Shepard Fairey is a complete toad
Banksy's fake voice made him sound, well, like a bit of an idiot really
(that was my, like, impression of how he speaks. not sure it comes across in type!)
The added bonus is, if you get the DVD, you can watch the short film about Banksy, which totally destroys any "cool" he may have earnt himself with the real movie

It doesn't really have anything to do with street art or graffiti, but I think it's a great documentary as it shines a light on just how horrible and stupid people are

But what makes me happiest is that I got a hooky copy of the DVD for free so saw it without a single penny going to that over-blown Bristol business, Banksy Inc

    Fuck you Mr B!!!!!!!!!

  5. Yeah, I didn't pay either. I downloaded it on a torrent for free. Still felt cheated though, even at that price.

  6. Shame there's not an award for the most boring middle-class film of all time. Watching it was like taking a handful of mogodon and going to a women's institute disco dj'd by Terry Wogan.
