Peter has been around longer than he cares to remember and he's one of the few voices left still making statements about the world we live in (connected somehow to Street Art), it's just unfortunate so few choose to listen. Over the years he's done work that should by right sit above that of a certain someone else, but let's leave that for another day.

Shooting @earth Peter Kennard and War Boutique at Black Rat Projects

Jesus, what are these two decent artists doing going to BRP?, Snelle & Morgana should should stay with the shite artists they have captured/conned and leave the others to get on.Bad move you artists!.
ReplyDeleteThis is a one off! No collateral long term damage.
ReplyDeleteBut true, two very good artists!
BRP though? ffs choose a gallery with a good reputation, not BRP.
ReplyDeletegood reputations don't always mean good sales though, and man dem need some money to eat innit bruv. being a good artist only puts food in your belly if you make sales!!!
ReplyDeleteprobably a good way to expose yourself to people that think political art started with Banksy
ReplyDeleteI mean, if you make political work you want as many people as possible to see it, not just those that already know about you
In that case they should put the artworks up in public, ie on the street and not in some half arsed pretend gallery run by the king of the corrupt flippers and his sidekick scarysarah the tart.
ReplyDeletePolitical work is very hard to sell...and those that spend their lives making it , often struggle to pay their bills.
ReplyDeleteAnd not that many galleries want to touch real political work, its hard to even find one - so good luck to them both. I know them, and they are great artists.
I know them too and yes they are great, i also know BRP and they are shite and i would not trust them an inch.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to the artists.
Piss off and go bust BRP.
I hope they make some money and buy some fucking soap and deoderant.
ReplyDeletewhy all the negative on BRP. I've been there several times and have enjoyed their presentations. Like any other gallery you go in with open eyes.
ReplyDeleteKennard is a good artist but he should stay clear of the Mike Snelle/Golding bunch, they are total con-men. The whole Nick Walker ebay/hype thing was orchestrated by Snelle. He was lucky he escaped the rotting, sinking, slave ship that was LS Gallery, before any eyes could focus on him and scareysarah. Golding got the full blame, but do you think he blew the money all by himself?
