Street Art gets a layer of Perspex, what does it become? What else on our streets has a layer of Perspex? Why the need for protection? Are we scared to let go? Does everything of monetary value need protection?
The need for protection is because a lot of people think Banksy is an absolute cunt, and are tired of him using the streets to promote his commercial street art business.
Yeah, not too surprised to see that he's censored that programme. I've long heard rumours that Banksy is a nasty paranoid control freak with no friends. Apparently even the people who work for him really despise him. Some of the manipulation and deceit that goes on would put Gaddaffi to shame.
Nope, it's not coming out on dvd... that's more disinformation from the Banksy PR machine. It was pulled because of legal threats. The tinpot dictator of street art is trying to control the message yet again. It's too late though, we all know what a prick he is.
I heard that Banksy pays for most of this stuff to be perspexed himself. He knows it wouldn't last 2 mins otherwise, and naturally he's keen to keep his adverts running for as long as possible.
That's actually a Banksy front company run by one of his assistants who has got a lot of connections in the graffiti world.. Buying up the rights was a convenient way to shut down the bad publicity. Offering it for sale at 20 quid a go on an obscure website means that nobody will ever get to see it, because that gives the excuse to block it from 4OD, youtube, Vimeo etc etc. without making Banksy look like he's censoring it. Don't be fooled by the PR smoke and mirrors bullshit, the Banksy corporation are masters of fooling the gormless public with many layers of manipulation.
Ok, so it is coming out on dvd, I stand corrected, but funny how no other channel 4 shows seem to get pulled from 4od, regardless of if they will be on dvd at some point or not. Hmmmm.
