Actually, this isn't even street art, it's pure advertising, and is far more offensive than if it were for Coke or Nike, because it's trying to pretend that it's something it's not. Glad to see that people have seen through this shit though and that the backlash is getting stronger. I'd like to see more of this fake street art/advertising getting destroyed all over the world. Let's eradicate this fucking cancer.
As a start, I'd like to see Vandalog, the high priest of commercialism publicly hung up and crucified on one of these giant adverts. People can then queue up to pay money to fire paintball guns at him. All proceeds will go toward buying paint that will be used to remove the visual pollution of fake street art from our communities.
Yeah, massive adverts and cynical branding of historic protest art imagery are ok if you call them 'ironic'. That's a convenient way of justifying it.
It's like saying.. "look at my ubiquitous 'parody' adverts that warn you about the dangers of mass advertising, and then afterwards go buy some of my products to prove that you're not just a mindless consumer sheep who is influenced by advertising"

Send the famous VNA batty boys there to cover it for their next special feature. Just make sure there's unlimited free booze and gifts on offer and it will get heavily publicised.

Isn't part of his art the fact that the OBEY logo is now so ubiquitous that it's almost as much of a fixture as Coke and Nike?
