You've just started your foundation course in re media l studies at Milton Keynes college for lowest education and they set the task 'critique western society and the importance of value'.
This would be their first draft.
It's with some dismay mobstr chooses such a piece for a series of paintings. Monopoly anyone?
Vandalog will have a wank over this one.
ReplyDeleteWarhol did the same joke about 40 years ago. He didn't feel the need to be quite as blatantly literal about it though...he just used a large dollar sign instead.
ReplyDeleteIt's makes you feel a bit embarrassed for the artist when they unknowingly recycle a worn out idea, but don't even manage to make it 1/10th as good as the original. You see the same thing all the time in art school foundation course shows, where geeky upper class hipster teens all keep repeating the same few stale clichés, but seem to think they are geniuses who are making amazingly groundbreaking work.
The other place you see it all the time is in street art.
Fucking hipsters. If only everyone could be as original as the above poster the world would be such a better place.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should try to address the artwork instead of other commenters, otherwise you're not really contributing anything are you, except sounding like a sarky knobhead.
ReplyDeleteHow much are these then?.
ReplyDeleteFuck, someone took my idea! So much for that...
ReplyDeleteThis kind of 'art' is for simpletons who are easily amused. Needless to say Gaylord and Princess Vandalog both love it.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know?? Don't lie, you read it on his blog...if anyone's a simpleton it sure sounds like you
ReplyDeleteYeah, I saw it on his blog, and I never tried to deny it. SO WHO'S THE SIMPLETON NOW???? YOU ARE, YOU SHEEP SHAGGING TROLL CUNT!!!
ReplyDeletePrincess Vandalog loves having her face slapped and nipples twisted hard during nasty rough sex. FACT.
ReplyDeletedon'y we all, love
