Anonymous Says 'Here's some Dolk Sales News For all you hardy Investors, or Norwegian loving Sycophants'

Dr Funky is currently convalescing on a massive pile of coke in sunny scunthorpe, so do some more posts for yourself, my anger is great but willingness to type low

'Here's an article that was pubished inNorway today about how well Dolks recent prints sold. Nothing shocking about it though, it is what it is I guess.

I can't be bothered to translate the whole thing so use Google Translate or something, but in short:
• 250 Mushroom Girl-prints were put out for sale yesterday at handmadeposters.com. £175 ech. All sold within the first 40 minutes.
• Two of the prints appeared on ebay shortly after the sale ended, reaching $600 only yesterday.
Handmadeposters says they don't have a problem with reselling but that Dolk doesn't like it.
• The article also mentions that last year Dolk made NOK 375.000 (aprox. £37 000) on his Mona Lisa prints in only one day.'

  1. this is NOTHING compared to other artists...just try doing the sums on OBEY. I heard for the V1 show he sent just his assistants over with the pieces (he only does murals for the pr shot) which were just prints and stencils (which were probably done by assistants). They installed them with the gallery and made close to £500k for a sell out show. Times this by however many shows he does plus his obey clothing, print sales etc...on a lower end scale look at dface...seriously though, street art = ridiculous cash and stupid buyers...hardly new is it? its not art, its bullshit and business.

Thats a damned lie. He sold 2 books and the person who was interested in one of his prints, bought it, but brought it back because his husband didn't like it. = Almost Cash.

Poor old Remi, looks like he's never gonna get those platform heeled trainers he's been saving up for.
