Ben Eine in London and Hastings
So rumour has it was Ben's 40th last weekend (or 4th if you go on mental age 'I draw a nice picture and mr cameron liked it alot - i was very happy, mummy bought me some sweets she was so proud'). Anyway with his new found work he's being getting lots of commissions and will soon have saved enough for that bottle of Regaine he's been dreaming of. We've seen a piece in Middlesex st London, that looks like something my cat sicked up
and he's started on a blocky version of Prince Charles in Hastings, his subversive nature knows no bounds!
pic's taken from the home of Eine love bankysforum many thanks

John and Yoko Print Coming soon from Obey
the unmitigated dive bombing into banality and medicority continues to gain pace for the magnificent Shep Fairey yet another canvas print, of utter utter dullness

New Banksy Hastings?
From a quick look, possible, style looks good, a corporate target used previously and a message that hits home simply and effectively

Eelus 'Firestarter' Print out next week from Brooklynite
you get the poster boy of street art over to do a show, and the print release is from his last show and an image no one likes, its like Delia Smith making you chocolate cake and using gran's incontinence pants for the ingredients - mmmmmmm enjoy
Fragil, Shoeffiti Project, Barcelona
taken from Unurth, for some reason the location and the feel works just great
can't say I like the rest, but to see more check here

Might Mo Print coming soon to Pictures On Walls
based on the following:
Guess there'll be numerous colourways. I'm sensing a pattern. Once you've seen one Might Mo you've seen them all, why the fuck would you want on faux brickwork?

Jay Jay Burridge So, what’s it all about?
Oh look it's ............................................................dinosaurs? This show is a spectacular failure, which in time could mean I think of it fondly. For now, it seems like an ill thought out, poorly formulated idea that misses the heart of what it's saying or trying to say which is, 'Hey man, the dinosaurs were made extinct and like, we could to'. Give me strength.

Pordenone Montanari 'discovered' at the age of 73!
Not street art, but of interest to anyone who's even had a passing interest in Bacon or Picasso, interesting article on a recently discovered Italian artist likened to the greats at the age of 73 - http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2010/aug/15/pordenone-montanari-artist-recluse-discovered

Quite a coup for Pure Evil to get this, Poster Boy is one of the interesting artists out there, not hitting the spot regularly but promising more.

Bäst 'Botulism' at Lazarides Rathbone 19th August - 30th September 2010
'Inspired by the early punk flyers of London and New York, Bäst's work plays with a variety of 21st Century icons, appropriating imagery from all types of media. Food Packaging, 50's newspaper clippings and brand logos all form the backdrop to his vibrant, brilliantly coloured works.'

Guy Denning in 'The Independent'
From last Friday - http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/guy-denning-the-behemoth-in-the-crypt-2044098.html
Love the idea of the location for this show, but from an initial trawl through the preview pic's in this article it's looking sombre to say least, hardly a break from the bleakness, this plus the location and the number of pieces is putting me off - a load

The Wrinkles of the City by JR - 18Gallery - Shanghai
Another show from JR From 23 October, 2010 to 11 December, 2010. I'm amazed how quickly each new show is coming around for JR, he maybe a great photographer with some great ideas, but shows in quick succession lessen the impact for me at least in anything he's saying
