I'm still trying to decide what is worse the daily mail in general, the hotelier for their sadness based solely on loss of revenue for what was in effect a free gift or the perspexing of street pieces and the wailing of the masses when a piece is vandalised.

Banksy stripped
Banksy attacked by stripper!

Jeremy Geddes 'A Perfect Vacuum' Of Interest
The latest print release to cause a stir, 250 prints sold in a couple of minutes. The herd mentality nurtured by forums reaches it's biting point with this release for Geddes. Enough people believe it will be worth more than what they paid, whilst having their opinion reinforced by enough others to make it a truth.
And so to the image. The perfect vacuum caused by the individual, inspiration, the power of the self. Plus any other connotations you wish to add. Does any of this matter? To a few perhaps. For most a photorealistic painting that looks amazing, awesome, sick, twat, contract.
To each their own and to a few a nice profit.

Ways Of Seeing, John Berger
Worth watching and considering how it relates to street art, to limited edition screen prints, to blogs and what they show and say. How reproduction reduces the worth of a work of art, about viewing
paintings in silence rather than in the hustle and bustle of the real world, about the way art critics and commentators talk about art in a way to keep us out of it, to keep it to themselves, jealously guarded.
Or we could just go back to talking about how some bloke called Gary has sex with horses

Mr Brainwash in Hollywood
From the sublime to the utterly fuckingly massivley ridiculous. As if to prove there's an antithesis to Blu's work here it is, nothing, empty, cash cow.
New Blu 'Mural' in Poland
Maybe it's the scale, maybe it's the skill or more likely it's because Blu reminds me that somewhere in amongst the harsh critic of the world the images often portray, there's the promise of something better.

Boxi 'The Curtain'
Boxi usually the anaesthetic of street artists, all real life with none of the interest but plenty of the tedium. Then somewhere in amongst it, he does what should be the ultimate dull work and somehow it turns out, quite spectacular?

David Choe 'Swamp Girl'
In amongst the chattering of the prepubescent one, telling us about his crazy life, porn star girls and pushing past the fact it's another '....girl' piece, it's tough not to like it for what it is

New Invader
As I sit here lonely and cold, far away in funk towers gently poking myself in the eye, my good eye I like to call 'squinty', spies news of picture on walls next release.

Another artist does there version of a Lichtenstein, this time Invader and what is it? Pointless. It doesn't say 'Invader', it says try hard for gallery rather than the street ending up forced and dull.

Go to America make your fortune, forge some new friends, forget critics at home, run as fast as you can and keep your hands over your ears.

Mobstr - The Commodity Series
You've just started your foundation course in re media l studies at Milton Keynes college for lowest education and they set the task 'critique western society and the importance of value'.
This would be their first draft.
It's with some dismay mobstr chooses such a piece for a series of paintings. Monopoly anyone?

Blu in Poland
Another piece underlining how street art can impress and interest, whilst questioning those who wonder why street art is still relevant.

Juxtapose from Mr Brainwash
'If you juxtapose two contrasting objects, images, or ideas, you place them together or describe them together, so that the differences between them are emphasized.'

New Banksy Poster
Five quid, details at picturesonwalls, awful rubbish, maybe just promise yourself that you won't spend five quid in Tescos? Another piece that will end up under beds, with no other reason for existence other than 'having' a Banksy. A tired, visually mundane piece with little too it, but I'm sure many will for the next week be over the top in their praise, whilst actually saying very little.

ROA in LA
It's almost like we're flying round and round on a continually skipping 12" remix, I'm sure I've seen this before? Even if I haven't I know I have.

New From Handmade Posters
Blu in Italy
Blu back in his home country and a recurring theme of Blu's work in the form of eating/drinking from the surrounding community or in fact from yourself. The steady eating away of the 'self' in today's society? Fuck my brains are spaghetti hoops.
